FROM CVN (CATHOLIC VOLUNTEER NETWORK)
In so many ways, a year of service is life changing. Many
volunteers leave their experience with a strong commitment
to simple living, a passion for justice, an appreciation
for the value of community, and a deepened faith.
Catholic Volunteer Network
partners with the
Catholic Apostolate Center
to provide the following resources to help former
volunteers maintain these values.
The “What’s Next Notebook” is a guide that will help you process the ways that you have been changed by service, and also look ahead to decide what your next steps will be. This resource is designed as a booklet that you can use during your times of prayer and reflection. We encourage you to print this and write your thoughts inside it.

—Staying Connected is our
e-newsletter for volunteer alumni. In each issue we
provide articles relating to topics of faith,
volunteerism, community, and social justice, as well as
reflections from other volunteer alumni, to help renew
your commitment to service.
–Former volunteers who are looking for employment,
will want to subscribe to our
Weekly Job Bank. Every Friday we share a
list of new positions that are ideal for former
volunteers. Jobs are spread out all over the country and
range in type of work and experience required.
–Our alumni listservs are a great
way to connect with other former volunteers in your area.
These groups share about upcoming events, resources,
networking opportunities, and more. We currently have
listservs for: Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, DC,
Portland, Boston, and New York – with more cities
coming soon!
